Benito Bowl Boost
I’ve never been much of a sports fan, and I don’t speak a word of Spanish, but I’m still riding high from this year’s Benito Bowl and playing DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS on repeat in my car. Joyful, inclusive, and much more political than some realized, Bad Bunny’s halftime performance was exactly the kind of boost our spirits needed to continue to believe in ourselves and our ability to do great things through hard work, sacrifice, and support for and from our communities. As we continue to fight fascism on multiple fronts, it’s important to make room for joy amid the anger and fear. On National Shutdown day, Miles and I spent the morning addressing and sending Abolish ICE postcards to all 50 Senators, and that night the whole family joined an overpass dance party to be visible and loud in our opposition and inspire others to do the same. I hope you’re finding ways to recharge and rejoice as you also rebel and reject the cruelty and human rights violations of this administration. This is a marathon not a sprint, it will take all of us, and as Benito said, you are more valuable than you think.
Early Spring Market off to a Brisk Start
The Superbowl traditionally kicks off the start of the Spring market, and lower rates have buyers eagerly awaiting fresh inventory. So far, high quality inventory is still light, and zombie listings from the Fall return and crowd the field, while buyers continue to cluster around the most desirable properties, sparking some spirited bidding wars. When rates go down, prices tend to rise rapidly, so if you’re thinking of buying, don’t delay or you may find yourself priced out. Sellers who act quickly may be able to buy their new home while rates and prices are low, then prep their property for sale and come on the market in time to catch the wave of rising prices. As always, if you or your friends or family are thinking of buying or selling your home this year, please reach out - I’d love to help.

First, gather ‘round for a story about “the olden days” as Miles likes to call the 1990s.
It’s time to build up our resistance community and get to work.
As my New Year's card suggests, I’ve not exactly been looking forward to 2025.
