Keeping Spirits Bright

January 15, 2026

As I look at our somewhat bedraggled but still smiling faces from our rainy family photo day, it feels like a perfect metaphor for 2025. This year wasn't just raining, it was pouring! But we showed up, provided as much cover as we could for those who needed it most, and did our best to keep our spirits up as we weathered the storms that the tangerine toddler keeps stirring up. And amidst it all, life kept lifeing:

Bea had a big final year as a tween: navigating 7th grade, taking a dance class, and getting her ears pierced and a full set of braces. She still loves cats, D&D, playing Magic the Gathering online, and building custom creations with Lego.

Meanwhile, Stella was busy starting 2nd grade, strengthening friendships, and spending her time reading, making art, singing, and playing fetch with Louie.

True to his Pug nature, Louie was really into trying new foods this year, including: bar soap, stickers, rotten apples, ball point & felt tip pens, and bubble wands. Such an adventurous palate!

I've started a new tradition of regular nights out with local moms and am loving the time for friendship and community. And I continue to be honored to help family, friends, and neighbors buy and sell their homes.

And while there are certainly more storms ahead in 2026, we're not going anywhere. We'll keep building community, supporting and protecting our neighbors, and showing up to the protests and polling places, doing everything everywhere all at once to fight the good fight. Together, we've got this.

And as always, if you or your friends or family are thinking of buying or selling your home this year, please reach out - I'd love to help.

- Suzy
